Weekly Progress Summary — Internship Report
Period: 26 May – 22 August 2025
Over the past 13 weeks, I have contributed to multiple workstreams, including supplement data annotation, literature research, supplement usage guide design, recipe development, and educational material creation. Below is a summary of key milestones and activities.
Task
1) Supplement data annotation
- Completed comprehensive annotations across multiple supplement categories, including vitamins, functional formulas (e.g., immunity, brain health, cardiovascular), and specialty products (e.g., health accessories, haircare, digestive health).
- Delivered annotated datasets to support AI training and product categorization.
2) Literature search on probiotic related ingredient--for AI training
- Conducted in-depth literature reviews on probiotic-related ingredients, focusing on scientific evidence and potential synergy effects.
- Updated ingredient literature collections for compounds such as L-Glutamine, Berberine, Inulin, FOS, Vitamin D3, Selenium, Green Tea Extract, Curcumin, Omega-3, and Zinc.
3) Design supplement usage guide-- for AI training
- Contributed to the “Enhanced Supplement Use Guidance” examples, providing structured usage recommendations for various health goals.
- Ensured data quality and consistency for AI training applications.
4) Recipe development
- Developed and tested functional food recipes, coconut milk pudding.
5) Education materials development
- Created focus group questions engage involvement.
- Supported Seminar preparation, including floor plan review.
- Researched and presented on polydextrose, exploring its health benefits and potential for product innovation.
- Produced presentation materials, including a polydextrose presentation and the final internship exit presentation.

Week 10 (28 July – 1 August 2025)
- Completed annotations for Blood Sugar and Beauty Supplement categories.
- Delivered focus group questions.
- Completed literature reviews for L-Glutamine (7 entries), Berberine (1 entry), Inulin (7 entries), FOS (11 entries), and Vitamin D3 (10 entries).
- Worked on Mistletoe (Viscum album), Nitric Oxide boosters, Potassium, Rhodiola (Rhodiola rosea), and Valerian for enhanced supplement use guidance examples.
Week 9 (21 – 25 July 2025)
- Annotated Digestive, Chicken Essence, Cardiovascular, Brain Health, and Joints categories.
- Delivered focus group questions.
- Worked on Ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba), Grape Seed Extract, Iodine, Licorice Root, and Melatonin for enhanced supplement use guidance examples.
Week 8 (14 – 18 July 2025)
- Annotated Health Accessories, Haircare, and Eye Supplement categories.
- Delivered focus group questions.
- Conducted polydextrose research.
- Completed literature reviews for Selenium (8 entries).
- Worked on Copper, Cranberry, Evening Primrose Oil, Fenugreek, and Feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium) for enhanced supplement use guidance examples.

- Annotated Stress-Fatigue and Slimming-Fitness supplement categories.
- Assisted in souvenir packaging.
- Completed ingredient literature collection for Inulin (2 entries), Curcumin (2 entries), and Omega-3 (3 entries).
